"Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?"

In Hull they have the answer, Mr Blake. Step forward and take a bow, Dean Windass.

The unenviable record that Hull had as the largest city in Europe to never have had a top flight football team is now finally broken.

Dean started as a trainee for the club he has always supported since a lad, his hometown club. He went on to save the club from bankruptcy by moving to Aberdeen bringing a large sum of money to the club. He moved to various clubs but eventually came back last year. He may not have the legs he used to but his instinct for goal remains. Today, when it mattered most he scored what may arguably THE most important goal of his career - not a goalmouth scramble, not a deflection or tap-in, but a superb 18 yard volley. He scored this at Wembley, he scored this to take the Tigers into the Premier League, he scored this to win promotion for the Tigers. He's 39 years old. He was a legend. He is now a god in Kingston upon Hull.

Cheers, Deano.
